Welcome to the Official Website of the Fylde National School Sevens
|
The Club is pleased to announce that the popular Fylde National School Sevens will take place on the weekend of the 14th and 15th of March 2009.
Last year some 45 teams involving over 550 boys and teachers took part in the tournament. Played over the two days, the tournament is one of the oldest, biggest and most successful competitions of its type in the School Rugby calendar. The competition is initially played in leagues on a round robin basis with the final league position determining which of three K.O. Cup competitions each school plays in. Last year the winners of the main Cup competition were Kirkham Grammar School who beat Ivybridge Community College in a superb final. The Plate went to Manchester Grammar School and the Bowl to Birkdale School, Sheffield. |
